Causes Of Work Stress

· To meet out the demands of the job.

Jobs can be very demanding. If you are just an employee, you cannot really choose for your own tasks. The company that you are working with will tell you what your tasks are. They demand you to finish the job on time. It really does not work with what you capabilities and capacity is. If your work tells you to finish the amount of work on time, then you will challenge yourself into doing it. This is mostly how workers get stressed. They will devote most of their time on work, because the job is demanding for it.

· Your relationship with colleagues.

It can be an issue inside a working environment when people around are not getting along. Here might be a colleague that hates you because you are the boss’s favorite, or would start rumors about you inside the office. This is very familiar in most companies. In order to avoid this, you need to at least be nice to everyone. At first, try to keep a low profile, and try not to be bothered by people around you. They will stop talking about you if you just ignore them.

· To control staff under you.

If you are the boss, you are going to handle the staff. All their mistakes will be blamed to you. That is why you are required to keep a good working staff. This can be stressful when the pressure gets into you. When you notice people are not complying with your requirements and they are not performing work well, it can be very stressful on your part.

· To train your staff and take work from them.

Training your staff can be stressful when you have a staff that is not listening to you. It is frustrating when people you are training don’t want to be trained. When you take work from them and they don’t get to have the job done as you want them to be, then the pressure will be all yours to take.

· Support you receive from your boss, colleagues and juniors.

Workers need a support system from their boss and colleagues. Sometimes, when the job gets tough, you know you cannot do it. But if your boss or your colleagues tell you that you can do it, the job will be easier. It is stressful to work in an environment where you are always being blamed, and being pressured. You know your capacities and they want you to do more than that, but are not giving you the support that you need.

· To meet out deadlines.

We all hate deadlines. When we are in a tight deadline, we seem to panic because we are confused on how we will be able to finish it on time. It can be very stressful especially when you are dealing with too much work within less time.

· Work against will.

Sometimes, the employer will assign a job to his employees with tasks that they don’t want. When you are working against your will, you will undergo a lot of stress and pressure. It can trigger your emotional, psychological and even your physical health.

· Harassment.

Sometimes, we are forced to do the job because we are being harassed. This kind of forcing can be very stressful. Workers will deal with the harassment same as with doing the job. It is stress on both ways.

· Sexual molestation.

There have been reports of sexual molestation within a working environment. When you are in a job that you really like but are being sexually molested, you better find a new job immediately. If you cannot lose the job because you need it, better tell your situation to the head of the company and other authorities.

Those are all the cause of work stress. In order to perform our job effectively, we need to stay away from these cause of work stress as much as possible.
